CBRE, the world’s leader in commercial real estate services is launching the CBRE Investment Challenge 2014. The contest is a response to the lack attention universities pay to investment analysis and commercial real estate business in general. ”Challenge participants are asked to identify an industrial sale & leaseback investment opportunity, submit an investment proposal and justify their ideas in front of our jury. The challenge is structured so that the brightest investment talent gets recognized“, says Tomáš Jandík, Associate Director of Capital Markets, CBRE.

A jury composed of CBRE specialists in the field of capital markets and industrial real estate have been appointed to judge the CBRE Investment Challenge 2014, and will choose the six finalists for the second round. Here the candidates will introduce their projects in a ten-minute presentation followed by a brief grilling session. The winners will be announced on 25 November. First place will receive CZK 30,000, the contestant whose project comes second will receive CZK 20,000 and the third place project will be awarded CZK 10,000. The absolute winner of the competition will be offered a Trainee “tailored” position in CBRE. “We wish to better introduce the issue of the commercial real estate services to university students. The best way to do it is to let the students become part of it. The winner of the competition will work in various departments, including Capital Markets, Sales & Acquisitions, Valuation and Industrial Leases,” adds Richard Curran, Managing Director, CBRE.
